Costa is seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a Floor Sommelier. Our restaurant offers a culinary journey through the Italian coast, featuring inventive global compositions and seasonal influences. With an expertly curated menu by Chef Vinson Petrillo and a beverage program crafted by Beverage Director Megan Mina, Costa provides a unique dining experience that blends the convivial style of Italy with fine dining.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with all front-of-house (FOH) staff to expedite and provide excellent service to all guests.
- Assist members and guests during dinner services with wine recommendations and selection, ensuring the perfect pairing with their meal.
- Handle the decanting of wine and oversee proper wine service procedures.
- Ensure that all wines are served in the appropriate glassware and in optimal condition.
- Participate in monthly inventory activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Receive and stock product, with the ability to repeatedly lift and move 40-pound boxes.
- Maintain a high standard of grooming and professional appearance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Genuine passion for hospitality and guest care.
- Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
- Energetic individual with excellent communication and time management skills.
- Solid foundation in French and Italian wines is essential.
- Availability to work weekends.
