Director of Mission Integration

Role/Purpose:

The Director of Mission Integration advances the mission of Cotter Schools through programs, activities, and instruction that foster spiritual development, adult understanding and expression of the faith, the integration of religion and life experience, the common prayer of the school faith community, and a dedication to service. This position oversees the Campus Ministry Department, serving the needs of our E-12 system, and collaborates with other Directors and Building Leaders to provide strategic leadership and vision to enhance, enliven, and promote the full integration of the mission into all aspects of Cotter Schools.

Position Responsibilities:

• ●Develop, promote, and advance the mission, vision, and values of the Cotter community.
• In coordination with Communication, create and continually update marketing materials and communication tools that support the mission and make it accessible to all stakeholders.
• Lead staff formation by creating a culture where mission is incorporated into all aspects of their work and design faith formation programs and opportunities within professional development days.
• Develop and lead a mission formation program for new staff members.
• Develop and implement activities that enhance the faith formation of administration, faculty, and staff, as well as parent support and programming when appropriate, navigating between the various complexities of an infant - grade 12 educational system.
• In collaboration with the principal and department and grade level team leaders, ensure that faith formation is happening and the mission is incorporated into the curriculum. .
• Hire, support, and evaluate Campus Ministry staff, encourage ongoing professional development and enhanced programming, and coordinate with the staff to plan and implement system wide Campus Ministry initiatives, including regular liturgies, retreats, community service projects, Catholic Schools Week programming, etc.
• Direct and support the efforts of the chaplain on campus and coordinate with DOW-R staff to promote diocesan initiatives.
• In collaboration with the principal and the Religion Department, develop curriculum when necessary and potential teach or co-teach classes within the Campus Ministry and Religion Department.

• Self directed with an attention to detail, and possess the ability to organize and manage multiple projects effectively
• Strong computer literacy, communication, leadership, and writing skills
• Strong support of the mission of Cotter Schools
• Creative thinker who possesses the ability to see an issue from myriad perspectives and can navigate situations involving persons with strong opposing viewpoints.
• Passionate about serving as a living witness to the Catholic faith, recognizing the complexities of the church, and the diverse population being served.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communication or related field required
• 5-10 years of experience in school setting required, 3-5 years of a leadership position in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience with Catholic faith formation, spiritual development, creating a mission-centered organizational focus.

Required Work Schedule:

• This is a 1.0 FTE position, with dedicated daytime hours and the potential for evening and weekend hours for special events, within an 11 month contract August 1 - June 30.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,978.00 - $80,000.00 per year
