Director of Analytics
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director of Analytics to drive our analytics capabilities and insights for our Direct-To-Consumer businesses, to make better marketing and experience decisions faster. You will lead a team to leverage data to enable our direct-to-consumer teams to drive high, sustainable and profitable growth and an exceptional customer experience.
You will take full ownership of reporting, forecasting, analysis and insight generation across revenue, new customer growth, customer retention & LTV, CAC and ROI. You will develop bottoms-up e-commerce channel and new/existing customer revenue models, establish revenue, customer & channel goals, leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to drive actionable insights across our direct-to-consumer businesses and enable a data-driven test-and-learn approach for performance marketing acceleration and platform conversion rate optimization. You will set the analytics agenda, define our analytics capabilities/stack and create/apply innovative analytical techniques & tools to create a competitive advantage for our business.
The Director of Analytics will play a central role in delivering our ambitious growth plans for our portfolio of Direct-To-Consumer brands. This role will report to our VP of Global Direct-To-Consumer & Customer Experience, and will be based in New York.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish KPIs & reporting structure around customer behavior (awareness, acquisition, retention), marketing channel performance/efficiency, site experience and SKU performance
- Develop key insights into customer behavior, using analytical frameworks and methods to identify opportunities for acquisition and LTV growth
- Work with marketing channel owners to design & execute data-driven pilots to accelerate efficiency & effectiveness of performance marketing
- Partner with ecommerce teams to develop product analytics to identify opportunities to improve customer journeys, and design & execute A/B tests to drive up conversion rate over time
- Build and maintain bottoms-up channel, customer & LTV models for the business, and develop forward looking projections for key metrics based on current trends
- Create vision for & lead implementation of marketing data technology stack, systems & tools
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- BS or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
- Mastery of financial, statistical and economic concepts involved into multi-touch attribution, LTV modelling & revenue forecasting
- Working experience in data warehouse technologies (e.g. Amazon Redshift)
- Experience in third party web and mobile analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude), attribution platforms, customer data platforms and event collectors
- Advanced knowledge of SQL & deep expertise in Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar business intelligence tool
- Understanding of machine learning and data science is a plus
- Strategic thinker and cross-functional influencer, able to gather buy-in from senior leadership for analytical and measurement framework/approach, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on input gathering, data integrity etc.
- Strong oral and written communicator, able to translate analyses into an insightful story of what's happening in the business & inform business decision making
- Self-starter who takes initiative to identify businesses opportunities & gaps in insight and work through innovative, thoughtful data solutions
- Ability to balance requests for urgent, action-oriented insights with progress on strategic deliverables
- Instills confidence through accuracy, attention to detail and timely delivery of work product
- Motivated by working in a high-growth, fast-paced and iterative environment
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team
Salary Range: $150-175k
