Coty is looking for Maintenance Planner to join our Technical Support team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our maintenance department. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing preventive maintenance plans to maximize equipment reliability. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of maintenance procedures and best practices.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:
Develop and maintain the maintenance schedule for all equipment in two production buildings.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and prioritize maintenance activities; ensuring downtime is minimized and maintenance work is carried out efficiently.
Coordinate and allocate resources, including labor, tools, and materials, for maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to optimize resource utilization and providing insight on staffing level needs to meet workload demands.
Establish and manage a preventive maintenance program to increase equipment reliability and lifespan; develop and update maintenance procedures and checklists.
Maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts, tools, and equipment and ensure timely replenishment of critical maintenance supplies.
Manage procurement processes and vendor relationships for maintenance-related purchases; maintain stockroom budget.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Generate reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and maintenance costs; provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement efforts.
Monitor maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards; collaborate with Maintenance Manager to ensure compliance.
Be the liaison between maintenance and operations; aligning on goals and priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field, or 6-10 years in industry experience
Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and techniques.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and computer skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Demonstrated team building and ability to create a positive environment within a diverse workforce
Desirable:
Previous experience as a Maintenance Planner or similar role
Experience with SAP or other CMMS systems preferred
