Country Hills is a leading Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility located in El Cajon, San Diego. We are one of the largest Skilled Nursing Facilities in the San Diego Area. As an Activities Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside individuals who share the your passion of making a difference in the lives of others providing person-centered activity programs designed to meet the physical, cultural, spiritual, recreational, and personal needs of each resident.
General Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Activities Assistant is to assist the Activities Director in creative and interactive activity programs for our residents. This must be done in accordance with current federal, state, local and corporate standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure on-going program of activities is designed to meet in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests in physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each resident.
Qualifications:
· Must have at least one or more years of experience working in a skilled or retirement living setting
· Basic knowledge of computers and word processing
· Experience with working in a reception setting
· Customer service experience
Education:
· High school or equivalent
Required:
· Candidate will undergo a background check, pre-employment physical exam, drug screening, and TB test
· Ability to speak, read, write, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in the English language (Bilingual welcomed)
Essential Duties:
· Participate in the planning and conducting of individual, small and large group activities.
· Assist in providing good communication between employees of all levels, residents, their families, support personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the public to ensure the needs and best interest of the residents, community and facility are met to the extent possible.
· Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.
