Head Housekeeper/Supervisor

Job description:

At country inn and suites, we provide our guest with grand accommodations and top-notch service. Housekeeping is a vital part of creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a hotel or similar settings and will be able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the hotel. They will be responsible for supervising other staff members with proper sanitizing, stocking supplies, laundry, and other general housekeeping duties.

We are looking for a hard-working and detail-oriented housekeeper with outstanding leadership skills to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire hotel.
• Supervise all housekeeping employees.
• Schedule and assign work to housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage of all areas at all times.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-the-house areas to ensure they meet established standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniform.
• Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service, taking any necessary corrective action.
• Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness.
• Coordinating the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public areas with the maintenance department.
• Participate in the interviewing and hiring of new housekeeping staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May be asked to clean rooms when needed

Requirements:

· Must be 18 years of age.

· Have reliable transportation.

· Strong detail-oriented, organization, listening, and communication skills.

· Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.

· Ability to push and pull heavy equipment, along with lifting up to 25 pounds.

· Ability to work shift assigned, weekends, and holidays.

· At least 1 year of leadership in cleaning or housekeeping experience.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
