Job Overview:
Covance is looking for a Warehouse manager in our Lake Mary, Florida location.
The Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of inventory and warehouse operations including order fulfillment functions and associated processes/procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of inventory for clients, communicating potential issues, providing reporting as applicable, acting as a liaison to other departments and developing and implementing new control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate on development and maintenance of Program Specific Procedures (PSPs), SOPs, training guides and operational guides.
- Serves as subject matter expert and lends subject matter expertise in the area of shipping and inventory management.
- Responsible for workflow oversight of warehouse operations, liaising directly and collaboratively with staff supervisors to ensure shipments and warehouse operations are being managed appropriately and timely.
- Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
- Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
- Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
- Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
- Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
- Prepare and submit orders based PAR values and forecasts tool at the frequency and due date set by clients
- Receive orders based on based on operating procedures
- Stocks shelves, rotating inventory using FEFO methodology
- Maintain inventory receipted paperwork according to inventory SOP
- Perform inventory counts, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually as specified by client requirements
- Manage and maintain ancillary inventory supplies and materials
- Process Returns on a daily basis; Determine RTS or Quarantine status based on SOP; Process in System
- Manage quarantine shipments for destruction, process and maintain reporting
- Responsible for knowing ordering schedule and preparing space for receiving of orders and preparing space or incoming orders
- Responsible for stocking shelves from Overflow areas to working areas on a daily basis or as needed, rotating inventory as needed
- Complete report templates on a week, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as specified by client requirements
- Research discrepancies from previous ending counts, ins and outs to physical counts and provide reasons or corrections to physical counts and identify areas of opportunities in operations or systems that may be contributing to inventory errors
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications:
The Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor will hold a Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred) or evidence of continual work toward a degree. Candidates without a degree should have a high school diploma and 8 or more years’ pharmacy, distribution and customer service work experience. Prior Inventory Management in a Pharmacy or Wholesale environment. Licensed technician preferred.

Knowledge of relational databases and or pharmacy fulfillment systems strongly preferred. A self-starter with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
Ability to, with or without reasonable accommodation, frequently squat, kneel, bend, climb ladders and reach, as well as stand for up to 10-12 hours.
Experience:
The Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor will have 4 plus years of relevant experience and knowledge base in pharmacy, distribution management, and customer service industries required.
