About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor/Shop Manager, the Welder/Fabricator will repair steel containers such as tankers, trailers, tractors and other fleet equipment,
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair tankers, tractors and other fleet equipment
- Preventative maintenance
- This may require working in confined spaces in all elements
- Maintaining safe work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required unless candidate has 5 years verifiable work experience in similar industry)
- Two (2) years of industry related experience repairing and restructuring intermodal equipment, including Containers.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning, organizing, removing safety hazards, oil spills, spare parts, etc. within the work area.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time, work in close quarters and confined spaces, climb ladders, tolerate heights and extreme temperatures.
- Must be capable to lift up to 50 pounds.
