Food and Beverage Manager
Cove Communities is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of the restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be an organized leader and a problem solver who enjoys helping others. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, keeping the food and beverage program running smoothly, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Job Requirements:
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals that include reviewing inventory to determine how much more product there is, as well as determining how many more orders are needed for each day, as well as determining when to order more food and/or beverage items.
- Ensure that the kitchen is set up and maintained in proper working order, with timely cleaning that includes checking to see if all equipment is clean and fully stocked, cleaning all cooking surfaces, working on ovens, grills, prep areas, etc.
- Oversee daily menu selections, including choosing candidates for interviews.
- Assist in the hiring process by contacting potential new employees and following up with them over phone or email to ensure an interview was conducted and they were considered for employment.
- Review the front-of-house staff schedule to see if there are any gaps in coverage that need to be filled.
- Ensure that all employees are following safety rules such as keeping hands off products and using only available tools and equipment.
- Assist in closing the restaurant by performing various tasks such as opening and closing duties, setting tables, running errands, cleaning the kitchen and restocking inventory when needed, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding area by taking out the trash, keeping surfaces clean and sanitized, etc.
- Keep inventory of food and beverage items by entering daily.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a manager; may be able to train someone with previous experience.
- Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, appliances and technology
- Familiarity with daily menu items and their availability.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
