As an Order Selector, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by accurately and efficiently selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. You will be responsible for retrieving products from storage locations, assembling orders according to specifications, and ensuring that orders are complete, accurate, and properly packaged for delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use an order picking system (e.g., voice picking, RF scanner) to accurately locate, select, and retrieve products from storage locations within the warehouse.
- Follow pick lists, work orders, or other instructions to assemble customer orders, ensuring that the correct quantity and type of products are picked.
- Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies during the picking process.
- Pack selected items into boxes, cartons, or containers according to order specifications.
- Apply labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation to packages as required.
- Ensure that orders are properly packaged, labeled, and staged for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by recording product movements, adjustments, and counts in the inventory management system.
- Participate in regular cycle counts, stock replenishment, and other inventory control tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order selector, picker/packer, or similar role in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking systems and warehouse management software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists, work orders, and product labels.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing orders.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
