Summary:
Under the direct supervision of and in close collaboration with the Care Experience Administrator, the Care Experience Specialist provides support in managing the patient experience & employee/provider engagement activities for the organization. The specialist will primarily be responsible for administrative duties, data analysis, post-discharge callbacks to patients, and assisting in development of training programs to support the mission of Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct administrative support to Care Experience Administrator
- Analyzes patient experience and engagement performance and feedback from a variety of sources
- Identifies themes and barriers to improvement to create appropriate interventions and provide support to achieve organizational goals
- Actively rounds in patient care settings to assess care experiences and physical environment of care areas
- Provides direct coaching to Physicians/NPs/PAs
- Perform next-day callbacks to patients and assist with concern resolution, as appropriate
- Manages service recovery processes and training
- Prepares reports and spreadsheets using relevant care experience data to support growth
- Acts as liaison and resource for Patient and Family Advisory Council activities
- Ensures appropriate employee and department recognition of care experience excellence through use of internal recognition programs and development of informal approaches to team and unit recognition
- Facilitates various staff-driven teams
- Participates in new employee onboarding and continuous training processes, as necessary

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field applicable to health care required
- 3-5 years progressive experience in healthcare with emphasis service excellence and/or engagement activities
- RN preferred
- Clinical knowledge required
- Microsoft Excel skills required
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Experience in leading and facilitating teams and work groups
- Experience in implementing quality/performance improvement programs in a complex organization
- Understanding of Microsoft office suite
- Demonstrated understanding of customer service and patient experience concepts and HCAHPS requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of effective organizational change processes
- Project a positive, enthusiastic and energetic image
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Operational proficiency in computer data analysis, presentation, and general communication applications
- Ability to research, analyze and interpret data, and identify and problem solve issues by proposing courses of action
- Strong interpersonal skills with physicians, leadership, staff, and community resources
