What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst II position at Covetrus?
Serves as a lead information source to all areas of the company for establishing and monitoring corporate customer accounts, as well as non-corporate customer accounts, requirements for ISOs, maintaining up to date information in the customer master file and lease processing, consistent with company policies and in support of the mission to provide the best customer experience possible.

- Reviews and processes new customer applications in order to establish new accounts or reactivate expired accounts, including the assignment of appropriate credit terms and limits. Communicates with customer and sales whenever requested terms or limits cannot be accommodated, to include negotiation of modified terms or limits.
- Controls, processes, and updates all customer information on the system, updating addresses, names, and phone numbers on a daily basis, and entering territory changes as necessary. Determines appropriate forms and signatures needed to make changes.
- Monitors and controls process of establishing Initial Stocking Order (ISO) special billing account to include notifying credit supervisor or Sr. Credit Analyst and sales of setup and closure of each account. This will include monitoring and releasing of orders in relationship with an assigned limit.
- Communicates directly with Territory Managers, DC Managers, customers, Regulatory Affairs, and eBusiness, to ensure compliance with customer maintenance issues such as address and name changes, including credit terms and limits for new accounts, ISOs and DVM licensing related matters.
- Provides trade references to other vendors regarding mutual customers.
- Controls and monitors corporate customer limits (upper limit customers) which require detailed analysis. Pulls monthly summary reporting (High Limit Tracker) on these customers, and collaborates with assigned collection agents, managers and Strategic Account Managers (Sales) to identify customers in need of further review, up to including recommendation for adjusting lines of credit or consideration for placement of credit holds.
- Primary contact for Strategic Account Managers and corporate customers to determine growth trajectory of high limit customers, to include gathering of data, such as customer financial statements, banking references, tax documents, or credit related reporting through D&B, Moody's and/or Experian. Documenting detailed customer credit financial analysis, metrics, and report findings to management to include write up proposals.
- Collaborates with management on Daily Order Release report to identify customers for further evaluation of assigned credit limits, to include making recommendations to modify customer payment terms and limits as necessary in order to ensure strong customer experience while protecting company's position
- Assists with monitoring and maintaining lease and third party finance agreement transactions; works with third party contacts to obtain confirmation of purchase orders and shepherds orders through to completion of final billing and collection.
- Assists with monitoring Initial Stocking Order (ISO) accounts and special billing requests to include approving limits, releasing orders, determine closing and due dates, and sending communication to sales.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a credit department and/or as a customer service representative, preferably in a commercial collecting environment
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Proven ability to meet and exceed deadlines
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles to include ability to interpret Financial Statements
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate
- Ability to prioritize and function independently
- Ability to compose business correspondence; familiarity with PCs; typing ability; and excellent organizational, spelling/grammar and telephone skills
