Covia is looking for a dynamic Strategic Marketing Intern who will have a positive impact on the Marketing Team at its Huntersville, North Carolina location. As a Strategic Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and participate in various projects focusing on data analytics and market research that will support marketing decisions.
The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:
- Collect data from customer and competitor websites, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, etc., outlining product mix, grades, positioning, pricing, formulations, and key messaging
- Build a database for end markets that supports analysis and segmentation and drives development of meaningful strategic insights
- Support annual strategic planning process
- Perform other duties as assigned
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing or a related field of study from an accredited university
- Interested in developing a career in Marketing
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to think logically and communicate ideas with others
- Willingness to interact and thrive in a diverse group dynamic
- Demonstrate analytical and business skills
