You are a Systems Thinking, Software Reliability Engineer who wants to help organizations scale their practice of Reliability Engineering. Ambitious, independent, self-starter that finds joy in iteratively evolving software reliability implementations and practices with software engineering teams and leaders to meet customer needs. You are a quick study and problem-solving engineer that enjoys tackling challenging business problems with software and/or hardware. You will work alongside engineering organizations to help deploy, manage, observe, troubleshoot, and enhance our complex cloud-based services.

As a Software Engineer at Cox Automotive you will:
- Contribute to and maintain the integrity of solutions.
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand real-world problems in our domain
- Design and deliver technical solutions to business and product problems.
- Evolve problem statements into actionable items that enable the team to deliver measurable value.
- Shape actionable items for the data services engineering team to solve those real-world problems.
- Demonstrate ownership of initiatives and drive them through to completion.
- Work 100% in the AWS Cloud
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead to the technical modernizations and innovations of a Cox Automotive Mobility domain
- Champion technology and architecture-related investments, advocating for the priority of this work
- Lead product to measure, analyze, and improve user experience using tools and frameworks for large-scale product experimentation
- Recommend improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team.
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for team.
- Guide the development of engineering and architecture standards.
- Provide solutions for the resolution/prevention of technical debt and to facilitate rapid development and implementation
- Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned applications, functional areas or projects
- Share knowledge by effectively documenting work and reviewing others' documentation.
- Build software prototypes to assess emerging technologies.
Required Skills &Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- 4 years of backend experience using technologies such as C#, Java, Python or Node
- 3 years of cloud experience including an infrastructure as code tool such as Terraform.
- 4 years background working on highly scalable, highly available, fault tolerant systems.
- Deep cross functional expertise to implement DevOps, CI/CD practices.
- Must be a highly effective verbal and written communicator.
Preferred
- Terraform
- Managing CI/CD Pipelines
- Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS Fargate, AWS Lambda
- 3 years experience with SAFe methodologies or equivalent.
