Getting a sales team stoked about selling is a specialtalent. Sure, good sales team already shows up with loads ofambition, but as Assistant Store Manager II , you'll help them align around creating the bestsales experience possible.

You'll share your contagious passion forexcellence, while keeping up with the performance for the store.Marketing and merchandising programs are part of your purview, fromhelping develop sales strategies to growing the customer base.

Andyou'll keep a keen eye on the competition, watching pricing trendsfor peak positioning.

You know the drill withretail schedules - it's all about your flexibility. So, know thatworking some evenings, weekends, and holidays are a part of theoverall picture.

You'll report to the Store Manager, whileindirectly managing the team of pros at our store...and when theStore Manager is out, you're handling some of their day-to-dayresponsibilities.

What You'llDo

Along with what we justdescribed; we've put together a list of some of the other thingsyou'll need to do as an Assistant Store Manager II.You'll :

  • The ASM IItypically supports one of Cox's largest volumes store with hightransactions and customer traffic. They will indirectly manage ateam typically consisting of 5 to 13 sales representatives andsales operations specialist
  • Translateperformance goals and objectives for the team as well as individualemployees (sets weekly, monthly, and individual salesgoals)
  • Manage against store revenue to driveacquisition and retention initiatives (monitoring progress,providing feedback, adjusting goals as needed to achieve storetargets)
  • Provide ongoing training andcoaching for sales staff to ensure sales performance objectives aremet
  • Facilitate weekly sales meetings toensure sales associates are aligned to corporate initiatives,including customer and product strategies
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complicated sales and / orcustomer disputes
  • Ensures staffis properly trained by planning and executing training, identifyingopportunities for staff development, and coordinating execution ofcorporate learning initiatives
  • Supporttroubleshooting for customer technical problems and sales toolsrelated issues
  • Assesses local competitiveassortment and pricing trends and escalates competitivediscrepancies to leadership
  • Serve as the SMEof all product knowledge and agent sales tools
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, developing, andscheduling sales staff
  • Assist with daily cashreconciliation and weekly store audits as assigned
  • Assist with store and sales floor inventory to ensurealignment with Corporate store design strategy
  • Assist with Operational Expenses and Cost Optimization(Headcount, Inventory Budget, Workforce Management, and other storeexpenses)

Who You Are

Minimum

  • HighSchool Diploma / GED and 3 years' experience in a related field. Theright candidate could also have a different combination, such asany level degree / certification beyond a HS diploma / GED in a relateddiscipline and up to 1 year of experience or 5 years' experience ina related field
  • Ability to motivate and coachstaff to meet established sales, retention, and customer experiencetargets
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, andwritten communication skills; ability to build relationships andadapt to a diverse customer base required
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of how to run asuccessful store
  • Ability to be mobile instore for long periods of time to assist with greeting customersand demonstrate products and services
  • Abilityto work and multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changingenvironment; able to prioritize and adjust approach based oncurrent environment
  • Computer literacy with anaptitude for learning communication products, services, andaccessories
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds tohelp manage stock room inventory

Preferred

  • 1 year ofmanagement or leadership experience (preferably in Wireless,Telecommunications and / or Retail Sales)
  • Previous experience with store operational duties
  • Experience selling Wireless / Mobile products stronglypreferred
  • Fluency in Spanish, both writtenand spoken
  • Leadership experience isideal

USD 22.21 - 33.37 perhour

Compensation :

Hourlypay rate is $22.21 - $33.37 / hour. The hourly rate may vary withinthe anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimatelocation of the position and the selected candidate's experience.

In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role isalso eligible for an annual incentive / commission target of$12,996.00.

Benefits :

Employeesare eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time offevery month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in theform of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave,volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19vaccination leave.
