Role Summary
The HR Business Partner provides day-to-day human resources support and counsel to one or more departments or functional groups covering many or most of the following areas: employee and labor relations, employee communications, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and safety and employment documentation. The HRBP executes talent management, employee development, compensation, performance management and workplace strategies. This role reports to Senior HR Business Partner.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Executes and delivers HR services, including but not limited to: performance management, compensation, talent acquisition, and employee development.
- Coaches managers to enhance leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications and performance management.
- Works with managers to prepare and administer employees reviews and to ensure they are effective and align with compliance expectations
- Serves as an employee advocate to address employee concerns and provides guidance to employees to help resolve workplace issues in an efficient manner
- Implements various HR business projects and initiatives to proactively meet the needs of clients. Researches best practices and provides strategic recommendations based on data analysis and incorporation of appropriate metrics to measure outcomes.
- Administers core human resource processes including onboarding, employment, labor and employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management and workforce planning within a specific business or functional area; consults with managers on human resources issues
- Recommends and implements human resource process and policy changes
- Investigates employee issues and complaints to ensure timely and appropriate actions are taken; partners with the appropriate stakeholders to recommend and implement solutions
- Assists in the Company’s response and preparation of statements to issues related to employee complaints
- Prepares separation documents and conducts exit interviews and/or grievance procedures. Tracks information gathered to report back on trends or themes
- Advises on the administration of labor agreements and on the handling of grievances
- Tracks hires, promotions, and transfers to ensure they are managed timely and as planned
- Manages highly confidential information
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications Required
- 7 years of experience in human resources with increasing responsibilities.
- 5 years of experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role, including experience as a specialist in one of the following core HR disciplines: talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, or employee development.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience with coaching and influencing leaders.
- Prior experience using Oracle PeopleSoft and managing data
- Requires advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong consultative, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Role requires the ability to be collaborative, build relationships and influencing skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
