What You'll Do

You'll put your leadership skills into action, providing strong technical direction for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of our billing technologies. You'll set performance standards and captain a team to meet them. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance to BSS billing business enablement analysts, solution architects and developers.
  • Providing technical and architectural leadership.
  • Advising team, technology leadership and key stakeholders regarding the design, development and operation of billing services.
  • Establishing a strong partnership with business team peer groups.
  • Providing oversight and tracking of financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Creating and managing appropriate systems and processes to deliver a quality internal and external customer experience.
  • Understanding customers' business needs and processes.
  • Managing phases of approved technology projects.
  • Collaborating with technology suppliers and vendors in defining and developing technologies to support business needs.
  • Facilitating discussions across functional groups and key stakeholders.
  • Partnering with cross-functional departments to manage rollout schedules and technology releases.
  • Coaching people to maximize their strengths and develop strong, collaborative partnerships within the technology organization.
  • Creating project forecasts, ensuring appropriate implementation and identifying resource requirements of complex systems.
  • Maintaining awareness of business, technical, operational, architectural and infrastructural issues.


Who You Are

You've got stellar IT knowledge and business acumen. You're a fair and ethical leader with a track record to prove it. Your toolbox is full of tech and soft skills - and don't worry, speaking Klingon isn't required. The following qualifications, however, are:

Minimum:

  • BS/BA degree in a related discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, etc.) with 6 years of experience in a related field (e.g., Product Development, Technology, Marketing, Process Improvement, etc.), OR

    • MS/MA degree in a related discipline with 4 years of experience in a related field, OR
    • Ph.D. in a related discipline with 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • 7 years of experience as a technology leader and/or solution architect at an enterprise level.
  • Experience with integration and/or billing transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge in OSS and BSS systems that integrate with IoT platforms for cloud billing.
  • Experience managing contractors.


Preferred:

  • IT experience designing and integrating telecom OSS/BSS solutions related to charging, billing, telecom CRM and order management/negotiation.
  • Experience with common billing processes and operations practices.
  • Experience in service-oriented software development.
  • Full lifecycle telecom/wireless billing system experience and experience with associated integrations to legacy billing systems.
  • Design and development experience in service fulfillment and network/service provisioning.
