Job Summary
The Area Manager of Field Services is responsible for managing a team of Field Service Specialists within the assigned area. They are responsible for managing the audit volume, repossessions, deal jacket, and takeout audits. They will be tasked with hiring and training to ensure they are maintaining the appropriate employee headcount in relation to workload. This Leader is also tasked with making sure the schedule and SLA adherence by the Field Services Specialists. This position is at times required to travel to the business to conduct and assist audits, keeping a close watch for any fraudulent activity and keeping in close communication with their leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform collateral audits (when necessary)
- Leading and training a team of Field Services Specialists
- Rerouting Field Services Specialists to priority tasks such as repos or takeouts
- Ongoing training and education of field services specialists
- Build dealer relationships with face-to-face interaction
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers and internal auditing team members
- Must maintain a working knowledge of policies, basic laws, and procedures
- Quarterly market visits with area Field Services Specialists
- Special projects when assigned by Leadership
- Gathering feedback form field operators and risk leaders
Required Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- BA/BS degree in related field and 6 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination such as MS degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree required
- At least 1 years of previous leadership experience
- Ability to spot potential dealership inventory issues
- Strong communication and interaction skills
- Adaptability to changes in priorities
- Strong attention to details
- Analytical mind
- Microsoft office, basic excel a plus
- Represent NextGear Capital in a professional manner
- Extensive driving - must have valid driver's license
- 1-2 years audit/inspection experience preferred
Training Requirements
- Inspection and Condition Report writing
- Industry/Automobile knowledge
- On the Job training with Field Specialist and at corporate
Physical Demands
- Walking for extended period
- Sitting, standing for extended periods of time
- Computer work
- Occasional bending, lifting
- Driving - must have valid driver's license
- Travel - must be able to travel
Work Environment
- Travel approximately 50% of work month (Vehicle stipend provided)
- Outside environment on car dealership lots
- Home office required
- Air travel may be possible 10% of work month
