Job Overview

The Marketing Technology Manager has eyes on the relevant technology horizon for the organization and can introduce new concepts to the larger marketing team to ensure that our technology needs are met. They will also ensure that the technologies leveraged will have longevity, fit well into our environment, and most importantly serve to increase the productivity of the marketing team.

The Marketing technologist has expertise working directly in marketing automation, CRMs and adjoining marketing technology to meet overarching marketing goals and campaign objectives. Enable the architecture and design of the Omnichannel Marketing infrastructure (across platforms) to optimize digital engagement to execute against marketing strategies.

Relying on their expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the technologist will work collaboratively with the Campaign Strategists and internal stakeholders to deploy and manage all of Marketing's technology tools. This role requires the ability to be a liaison within the marketing function of the business and then translate that marketing vision to a technology implementation and deliver on marketing goals. The Marketing Technology Manager should provide insights that allow us to maximize the value of our marketing investments by tracking all the recent technology releases and understanding how to effectively utilize them to drive real-time solutions to meet day to day business objectives while also planning for future expansions.

What You'll Do

  • Delivers Marketing Automation and CRM integration/administration as the SME and administrator on our marketing automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Orchestrating automated communication journeys for one-to-one dialogue via SFMC Journey Builder & Automation Builder
  • Gathers, documents, and interprets the business and marketing technology requirements and identifies technologies that can meet our business needs
  • Serves as an expert resource to marketing on the custom development and integration of marketing technologies.
  • Partners with corporate architecture and technology groups to ensure compliance of Marketing solutions with all relevant enterprise standards and to leverage existing corporate platforms and technologies where best suited.
  • Coordinate with campaign strategist and analytical teams to measure the effectiveness and results of executed campaigns
  • Serve as a technology expert and thought leader in contemporary marketing technologies and techniques, both internally and externally
  • Attend sprint reviews with technology as an advocate of the marketing team, ensures all requirements are being met for various use cases
  • Maintains a roadmap of all upcoming new features and enhancements supporting the marketing organization, works with stakeholders across the business to effectively communicate these releases and ensure their needs are being met
  • Migrate and enhance various web properties to create better alignment between our businesses and improve the user experience for our clients
  • Stays current on the digital marketing/ marketing technology landscape to ensure that our businesses can support best-in-class strategies for upcoming initiatives
  • Responsible for integrations and maintenance of the various Google suite of products that the marketing team uses for campaign research and execution

Who You Are/ Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience with marketing technology, IT, CRM/analysis. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Marketing objectives, goals and strategies and ability to leverage marketing technology solutions to execute against objectives
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, Domo, Power BI, Tableau, HTML and SQL (queries to manage databases).
  • Expertise with integrating marketing technologies/automation (Marketing Cloud)
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills: capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, cross-functional teams and communicate with all levels of management
  • A dynamic self-starter personality
  • Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute plans
  • Experience maintaining relationships with multiple key stakeholders in various roles throughout the organization
  • Ability to be agile and effectively prioritize the development of several key initiatives at a given time
  • Review reporting and make insightful, well-reasoned, data-based recommendations to internal customers on optimization and improvements of systems, integrations, and processes


Preferred:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or MIS strongly desired
  • Certification in one or more marketing automation platforms (SFMC)
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Specialist/PowerUser
  • Experience establishing and maintaining system documentation and training materials
  • Expertise in developing responsive HTML emails, applying dynamic content using server-side JavaScript
