What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Planning Manager position at Cox?

The Enterprise Data Strategy Manager is responsible for supporting successful operations around Cox Automotive's data syndication for key established enterprise assets for which the Enterprise Data Strategy team is responsible for driving syndication/monetization.

Data Syndication is a key strategic and growing function for Cox Automotive related to the importance of the breadth and depth of data within Cox Automotive leading Automotive brands. Responsible and strategic data syndication is a key part of Cox Automotive's growth plans and this resource is a critical member of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute permissible use guidelines for key data assets for Logistics, vetting clients' desired use of CAI data to ensure it aligns with current strategy, and evaluate proposed pricing.
  • Partner with Cox Automotive Logistics business and technology teams to support external client onboarding.
  • Partner with Cox Automotive Logistics business and technology teams to support new API development, serving as the data-related advisor for product and engineering teams to ensure successful scaling of API syndication while safeguarding CAI data.
  • Prioritize deliverables to align with Cox Automotive priorities.
  • Lead the preparation of communications, meeting materials, and formal meeting summary deliverables; communicate and influence with area leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other Cox Automotive corporate functions where appropriate such as Legal, Product, Engineering, Supply Chain etc.
  • Conduct market analyses for key information services sub-segments within the Automotive Services industry. Each market analysis includes fundamental information such as estimated size of the market, main competitors, key trends around the sub-segments and recommended action to capitalize on the market.


Qualifications:

  • Need to be located in Atlanta Georgia.
  • BA or BS Degree required and 6 years of relevant industry experience needed.
  • Proven track record of mastered execution and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Previous experience leading individuals or teams of professionals in related fields.
  • Track record of success establishing buy-in for ideas across functions and business units.
  • Strong ability to influence.
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.
  • Passion for storytelling, developing concepts for fresh ideas, and translating market insights into compelling pitches.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth-company environment (sense of urgency, adaptable, champion of change)
