About the Role:
We are looking for a world-class Accounting Associate to help manage a variety of bookkeeping/accounting and administrative tasks at Cozymeal. The individual in this role is expected to be experienced enough to work remotely and independently with limited supervision.This is a part-time employee role (20 hrs a week) with future full-time potential. The role is open to all candidates across the US and we are looking to hire someone long-term and provide the individual with growth opportunities within the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to own and execute projects end-to-end, and doesn't shy away from asking questions whenever something is not clear.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Assist in processing accounts payable.
- Help prepare the company's tax filings
- File and track company receipts/subscriptions/registrations.
- Assist in regular system audits.
- Communicate with employees, vendors, and clients when issues arise.
Requirements Include:
- 3 years of experience working as a bookkeeper.
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in accounting, business or related field.
- Advanced working knowledge of Quickbook Online and Excel
- Ability to utilize advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables and vlookups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience preparing sales tax returns is a plus.
Hours: Part-time (20 hrs/week)
