JOB DUTIES
Develop and maintain ongoing recruitment sources. Attend and represents agency at Open Houses, Job Fairs, including college on campus recruitment. List openings and specifications through social media sites and all other appropriate recruitment sources. Develop promotional recruitment materials, i.e., flyers, brochures, to target current vacancies. Works with managers to determine position requirements and implements appropriate recruitment strategy. Ensures staffing needs are met on a timely and cost effective manner. Interviews, assesses all applicants and refers to Management. Reviews all position requisitions as they are received for accuracy. Manage work flows in the Taleo HRIS system: inputs requisitions, posts, reviews new candidate as they apply and completes application screens. Interview, test and assess candidates and submits to Managers for second interviews accordingly. Ensure feedback/evaluations are received from management staff and entered into Taleo. Compiles and prepares administrative paperwork for new employees including performing employment reference checks, all regulatory screenings (SEL, CBC, MHL, SCR, etc.), obtains and verifies degrees, license credentials and post-medical exams. Reviews, prepares and processes change of statuses through Oracle. Prepares various reports through Taleo and/or Oracle platforms. Conducts in-service orientation sessions for all new hires. May conduct supervisory in-service training on various HR topics. Provides staff and supervisors with guidance and information regarding benefits, policies and procedures. Coordinates internal transfers and disseminates the information to management and staffing department. Fosters positive employee relations via direct involvement with transfers, promotions, complaints and problems. Conduct Exit Interviews, gather statistical information to improve retention of current staff. Perform employee feedback surveys as needed. Meets with employees returning from leaves. Clears and places employees into appropriate positions. Coordinates their return to work with appropriate supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS
- B.A. Degree in related Human Resources Field.
- Minimum two years’ recruitment and generalist experience.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) and HRIS experience.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
- Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Adheres to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business conduct, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistleblower protections and mandatory reporting. Completes corporate compliance training at least annually. Fully cooperates in all corporate compliance investigations and reviews.
