What are the responsibilities and job description for the AIS Day Program Coach position at CPA?
We are seeking a specialized caregiver to fill a Day Program Coach role
Day program coaches will assist participants who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities with vocational interests that align with their desires, abilities, and skills. Day program coaches must be compassionate, professional and possess the ability to work with a diverse population.
Job Duties:
- Work with client on a one-to-one basis daily.
- Implement client’s objectives and behavior support plans as instructed.
- Assist clients with their personal care needs (ADLs) as necessary to maintain hygiene.
- Report all incidents, behaviors, and occurrences to Supervisor and on to progress notes packet in the indicated section daily.
- Read clients ISP and understand their target behaviors, objectives, and target goals.
- Collect client’s behaviors instances daily onto Behavior Data Sheet.
- Work with clients to meet their target goals which includes socialization, choice-making, community integration, sensory stimulation, and communication skills.
- Utilize effective oral/written communication
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and persons with developmental disabilities
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow instructions and submit all reports in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Must be available 9am-3pm Monday-Friday (FT - 30 hours per week)
- Have a valid California ID in good standing
- Have access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Clear a background check
- Posess a reliable, responsible attitude
- Must have a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
- Must have Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association

Salary Description
$17.50 an hour
