Responsibilities
- Assisting in the specification, installation and maintenance of API 670 vibration and axial position systems
- Conducting routine vibration monitoring routes for the purpose of compliance and reliability
- Developing recommendations for machinery repair based on deficiencies found during analysis
- Responding to call out requests for machinery troubleshooting using vibration analysis tools
- Monitoring online vibration trends and reporting on concerns
- Coordinating and conducting pre and post shut down machine surveillance requirements
- Ensuring data obtained is documented per the plant standards
- Maintaining the plant vibration database on all area rotating equipment for use in problem diagnosis
- Working closely with the Rotating Equipment Reliability Analysts and Engineers assisting in troubleshooting vibration discrepancies, inspecting equipment for repairs/overhauls, and in the root cause analysis process
Responsibilities (continued)
- Reporting out findings from data collected and online vibration monitoring per plant procedures
- Developing and sending out summary vibration analysis reports to customers on machinery in assigned area
- Ensuring that plant vibration systems are maintained and optimized
- Presenting to various plant audiences on topics related to the vibration program
- Performing rotating equipment QA/QC during turnaround events
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of Vibration Analysis experience
- ISO Level 1 Vibration Certification required
- Experience with vibration data collection and analysis (CSI 2140 and AMS Machinery Manager is a plus)
- Experience with vibration database software (System 1, Evo, and Prognost are a plus)
- Experience in rotating equipment root cause failure analysis
- Computer Skills (MS Word & Excel preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Condition monitoring program experience. (Meridium preferred)
- Experience with equipment deficiency reporting, tracking, and resolution
- Knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and compressors
- Experience in rotating equipment repair
- Experience with online condition monitoring systems and hardware (BN 3500, System 1, Prognost, etc.)
- Experience with API 670 Systems
