What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wax Assembler position at CPP- Syracuse?
We are currently looking for an experienced individual for our Wax department. The Wax Assembly Worker reports to the Supervisor and prepares wax patterns to create a high-quality wax configuration for mold processing. This is a Monday - Friday 1st Shift position with a starting rate of $19.27 and a rate of $20.14 at 6 months. Additionally, we are currently offering a $1,000 sign on bonus and have a 5% quarterly bonus plan with full benefits package and 50% 401k company match.
Wax Assembler – In this position the successful candidate will perform duties related to the setting up, assembling and attaching a variety of wax patterns to wax frames while consistently monitoring for quality. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. This position will also require the successful candidate to be responsible for working from instructions and prescribed routines to prepare molds for casting. The candidate will also be responsible for visually inspecting and repairing defects in patterns, keep leadership fully informed of any irregularities or concerns. They will also be responsible for the adherence to all safety policies, practice and procedures. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and have the ability to maintain attention to detail and multitask.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years’ experience in manufacturing. Wax assembly or investment casting preferred.
- Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters
- Advanced computer skills
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Product Engineer Instructions (PEI). Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers and leadership. Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
