IT Support Technician / Systems Administrator
Our client in the Arcade, NY area is seeking a IT Support Technician / Systems Administrator. to assist with ongoing IT projects and service internal staff with technological related issues. IT Support Technician / Systems Administrator responsibilities include managing help desk tickets, documenting staff interactions, and handling any technological related issues that may arise on the day-to-day basis.
Salary Range: $50,000-$70,000 annually depending on experience
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to manage and maintain servers, networks, and other infrastructure components.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects.
- Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Stay informed about the latest technology trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
- Manage various software systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or Systems Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies.
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, etc.) are a plus.
