Position snapshot:
As the Personal Lines Training Specialist, your job is to be the go-to person for training new staff and helping everyone improve their skills. You'll create easy-to-follow materials and keep them updated as needed, covering everything from our main software, Applied EPIC, to other necessary tools.
 
What we’re looking for:
  • Minimum of 10 year’s experience in the insurance industry, including five as a Personal Lines Account Manager
  • Minimum of five year’s experience with Applied EPIC; experience with EPIC Quotes, EzLynx and CSR24 a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint; capability to teach these applications to all levels of personnel
  • Producer's license required
  • CISR, CIC or CPCU designation preferred, not required
  • Experience with DocuSign and Adobe is preferred

What you’ll be doing: (Job Duties/Essential Functions)
  • Train new hires and existing staff on agency best practices, Applied EPIC workflows, carrier rating systems and Personal Lines procedures, both remotely and in person
  • Create training materials like handouts, videos and visual aids
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to update and refine training content
  • Consult with management and staff to identify training needs and stay informed about policy changes and technology updates
  • Develop tests and check-ins to assess training effectiveness
  • Assist with AMS upgrades, software migrations and testing
  • Troubleshoot AMS and third-party software issues on user workstations
  • Coordinate classroom scheduling and setup for training sessions
  • Travel to other agency offices for training purposes
  • Attend seminars and classes for ongoing education on agency management systems and related software
