Sales Representative

W're looking to grow our business with the addition of a full-time Sales position on our Sales Team.

This role will give you a chance to work directly with new, used, and vintage music gear, while working collaboratively with other team members who have a passion for making music and serving our customers.

You will be tasked with the responsibility of working directly with our customers by phone, by email, and in-person our gorgeous retail showroom.

This is a relationship-based position and you'll have the joy of forming friendships with fellow musicians, learning about their needs on their musical journey, and getting them set up with the gear they need.

This position will also require you to build and maintain a customer database supplied by our online sales channels and perform proactive customer outreach on a daily basis to grow and strengthen those friendships.

Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to find the gear they need to unlock their creative potential
• Quickly field and respond to all incoming customer inquiries in our showroom and online via email, phone, and website chat
• Embody company standards of customer service excellence, sales technique, and follow through with all customers
• Engage in regular proactive customer outreach on a daily basis
• Evaluate and purchase used gear from customers in the retail showroom
• Act as first point of contact for customers with instrument repair needs and work with Master Luthier to provide clear and accurate pricing and lead times for repair completion

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service environment (MI Retail experience is preferred)
• The ability to work Wednesday–Friday from 10AM–7PM and Saturday/Sunday from 9AM-5PM is ideal
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ownership and accountability in all aspects of the position
• PC Proficient with ability to learn quickly
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated mindset with excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems
• A positive and upbeat attitude with a proactive mindset
• A candidate who is a musician with a passion for gear is preferred

Pay: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
