What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Safety Specialist position at Credit Human?
We are seeking a Physical Safety Specialist for the Security and Safety Operations Department.
The Physical Safety Specialist (hereafter Specialist) will assist the Security and Safety Manager in designing and maintaining an effective safety program to ensure protection of employees, members, contractors, and assets to include all Credit Human owned and leased properties. Specialist will utilize knowledge of ADA, NFPA, OSHA, and other regulations as a guide to ensure all existing and new facilities comply with federal, state, municipal, and industry safety standards. Specialist reviews & recommends process and procedural changes to continually improve the safety program by ensuring monitoring for safety issues and potential hazards takes place on a regular frequency. Specialist oversees the SECURE KEY program, working with a locksmith to ensure accountability for keys issued out. Specialist ensures Credit Human has applicable training programs that are current and relevant. Finally, Specialist will maintain safety program documentation in electronic formats to ensure the information remains current and is updated for management analysis and reporting.

Experience:
Required
- 5 years experience in roles with increasing accountabilities at a private or public organization
- Experience in keeping records of work accomplished
- Experience in process procedure review and improvement
Preferred
- Experience in roles having direct accountabilities in the environmental, health and safety sphere
- Work experience in a maintenance or technically mechanical craftsmanship role
Education:
Required
- Bachelor’s (4-year) degree
- Associates degree (2-year) with an additional 4 years work experience
- No completed degree plan with an additional 8 years work experience
Preferred
- Degree in one of the following: Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science Safety, Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Safety Technology
Licenses & Certifications:
Preferred
- Safety certification from a nationally recognized organization such as BCSP
- Certifications through NFPA or OSHA
Skills & Knowledge:
Required
- Proficiency in use of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
Preferred
- Proficiency with administering software
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
