What are the responsibilities and job description for the IB Credit Business Risk Control Officer, ASO, NY position at Credit Suisse?
You will be tasked with developing a strong understanding of the business, regulatory framework, and supporting policies, systems and processes across infrastructure, legal entity and operational risk. In addition, it will be important to build strong partnerships across IB Credit and key Corporate Functions, with a focus on enhancing control processes. Furthermore, you will maintain the comprehensive global supervisory and governance framework, including active engagement in key front to back forums, oversight of key supervisory documentation, e.g. supervisory mandates, and conflicts of interest registers.
As part of the BRCO team, you will be responsible for managing operational risk which includes being involved in the Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA), controls inventory, and operational incident remediation. The BRCO team will work with the Product COOs on Internal Audit and Compliance reviews where you will be responsible for implementing the identified remediation actions. You will manage key operational and supervisory metrics, complete comprehensive deep dives and tyre kicks, and partner closely with relevant support teams to resolve exceptions. They will be heavily involved with regulatory reviews and regulatory change Projects. Moreover, you will work on conduct and culture initiatives across the business.

We are looking for an applicant who possess an equivalent work experience in a control role.
- Ideally, the individual would have existing knowledge or exposure of fixed income products or markets.
- Experience implementing regulatory, control, conduct and cultural change.
- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisions and deliver solutions with minimal direction.
- Able to handle a full workload efficiently to meet challenging deadlines, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator who is able to partner effectively with teams across the Bank, liaise with all levels of seniority and explain potentially complex or difficult issues.
