What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Credit Union of America?
Role: Provide professional, accurate, courteous service to members. Educate and promote the usage of the TAP teller machines and credit union products and services. Assist members with commercial and other large deposits and access to safe deposit boxes (where applicable).
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Greet members with engaging, courteous and professional service in a timely manner. Educate and promote the usage of the TAP teller machines with members. Provide technical support to members while utilizing the video technology. Ensure machines are ready for member use (clean, pens available).
- Assist members with Commercial Deposits, rolled coin and large cash deposits and withdrawals. Grant access to safe deposit boxes in branches where this service is available.
- Process mail that is delivered to the branch. Complete member deposits and loan payments within the same business day. Prepare inter-office mail for courier service.
- Listen for opportunities to refer members to specialists throughout the credit union. For example FSR, Real Estate or Retirement and Investment Services referrals.
- Communicate effectively with Branch Manager and appropriate TAP Center Staff/Automated Teller Support Staff when member or TAP teller machine issues arise. Assist Brinks/NCR in reloading machines with cash and check retrieval or other services provided.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of, and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job functions.
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
