Position Summary
The Picking Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of materials in and out of the staging area to support production activities. The coordinator is also responsible for aiding in sustaining a high performing reliable business committed to meeting all our customer’s needs, our company’s needs, and our people’s needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
- Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe
- Ensure Safe and well-maintained Work Environment and conditions throughout all work spaces, facility and surrounding areas
- Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and initiatives and champion and engage all staff and employees in cultivating and promoting a Safety-First culture
- Conducts safety sentinels and makes recommendations
- Report all safety, quality, near misses, accidents, mistakes and product damages accurately and according to processes
- Comply with all OSHA, GMP and company standards

Productivity
- Support Cross Functional Teams to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met

- Identify, drive and support all Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts
- Ensure all materials for production are staged to maximize space and improve flow
- Assist with inventories per customer/management request to ensure accuracy of product and/or product codes
- Validate the use and continuous improvement of all production and operational processes
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining WIP and material returns
- Assist Leads with line setups and line clearance
- All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the identification and training of an individual capable of successfully completing all stated Key Responsibilities as appropriate to maintain integrity of position for progression planning and coverage during times of absence
Quality
- Manage and audit compliance to Crescent QMS to ensure Quality Programs and Systems are intact and satisfy applicable Regulatory and Customer requirements
- Measure, monitor and report and account for applicable site KPI's
- Ensure inventory accuracy
- Responsible for providing feedback to management regarding errors
- Ensure and verify all picking is performed accurately (item and quantity)
- Reliable in attendance and punctuality; completes assigned responsibilities to satisfaction; follows through with commitments
- Ensure staging areas are well organized and trash free
- Perform regular systematic and physical staging audits
Customer Value
- Ensure processes, programs and controls are intact and executed against to deliver top quality product to all Crescent customers
- Effectively communicate directly to all aspects of production
- Maintain a good working relationship with internal customers
Financial
- Safeguard applicable site KPIs to meet established targets and satisfy customer demand
- Improve organizational efficiency and waste reduction
- Align and optimize the allocation of People and resources to meet established production and company goals
- Manage the correct use of all material and supplies

Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for an extended period of time
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to do repetitive motions for several hours
- Walk on concrete floors for extended periods while in the co-packaging facility
- Ability to work and operate in a non-climate-controlled environment 5% of the time
- Moderate to significant noise (i.e., conveyors, forklifts, warehouse traffic).
- Fast paced environment, requiring adaptability to constant changes in schedules, volumes, staffing and shift requirements

Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D or
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work well with others
- Possess basic math skills
- Prior packaging experience
