Job Description
Cresset is seeking an Associate, Wealth Advisor (AWA) to provide support in all facets to the Wealth Advisor(s). AWAs provide comprehensive support to our high-net-worth client relationships by working closely with lead Wealth Advisors so that we can be a client’s ‘First Call’ whenever that client contemplates anything that may impact his or her financial life now or in the future. At times, the AWA may service as the lead advisor for some relationships. A successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, able to operate independently and collaboratively, and must be comfortable driving relationships and projects with little initial direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively support the Wealth Advisor (WA) in the management of the client relationship.
- Remain accountable for providing excellent service to the client, alongside the WA, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction
- Have a proficient understanding of Cresset’s investment program and market outlook
- Stay up to date on markets and planning related rules and regulations that may impact our client base
- Lead preparation for and attend client meetings. Take notes and ensure follow up is completed
- Assist in the production of net worth statements, cash flow plans, estate plan summaries and tax summaries. Maintain data in the clients’ eMoney site, as necessary
- Review quarterly performance reports for clients before posted to client portal. Identify and resolve issues
- Coordinate with the Client Service Associate to ensure tasks are requests are handled, including new investments, redemptions and cash flows
- Assist the Wealth Advisor with trading client portfolios using the Black Diamond Rebalancer
- Review client portfolios and assist in the development and presentation of investment recommendations to clients. Document in Salesforce and verify changes are implemented
- Document client notes and activities in Salesforce
- Serve as lead advisor for smaller relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Desire to learn and grow in wealth management; previous internships in wealth management/financial services is a plus
- Acquire the Series 65 license required; candidates required to obtain the license within 180 days of employment
- Coachable with the ability to work in a team environment or independently when necessary
- Learn industry basics of financial planning, asset allocation and investments; continues to expand their industry knowledge base
- Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and enhance the business in keeping with Cresset’s values and culture
- Ability to grow with the company and possesses the mindset to adapt with change
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and engaged listening
- Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrates professional maturity and sound judgment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Develop skills using internal and external technology including Salesforce and RedBlack (portfolio management rebalancing system)
