Job Description:
The Chicago Marriott O’Hare is looking for a full-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our awesome team! Previous Marriott Hotels experience preferred.
Overview:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while supporting the team to achieve the overall success of our service goals.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that guests receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
- Manage, train, and motivate the food and beverage team, including servers, bartenders, host/hostesses, and bar backs.
- Maintain high food and beverage quality standards, including presentation and taste.
- Oversee the ordering and stocking of food and beverage supplies to meet demand.
- Manage staff schedules to optimize efficiency while meeting labor cost targets.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as all hotel policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise food and beverage services for events and special occasions.
- Generate reports on sales, staff performance, and customer feedback for management review.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including food safety and hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in food safety and alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
Availability:
- Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
