Position Overview
Plans and directs accounting and finance functions for the Region performing and overseeing the duties below.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Is a business partner to Region managers providing financial analysis / reports and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Participates in / coordinates the Region’s monthly close process with the OpCo controllers, the Region Controller, the Region CFO, division personnel, and others.
- Prepares and helps review region forecasts and budgets. Participates in strategic planning process.
- Assists with the evaluation and integration of acquisitions. Reports on acquisition performance.
- Ensures compliance with AMAT and West Division policies and procedures and internal controls (SOX).
- Performs / reviews balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supports external / internal audits.
- Assists / reviews inventory valuations.
- Actively participates in process improvement efforts.
- Champions efforts to improve working capital within the region.
- Supervisors / mentors accounting staff within the region.
- Reports on carbon reduction efforts within the region.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or 10 years related experience

Preferences
- Master’s degree in Accounting
- CPA, CMA, or MBA
Additional Requirements
- Travel approximately 20%
