Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Strategic Sourcing, the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing- Rooms, Spa, and Uniforms will provide leadership and oversight for all Rooms category sourcing initiatives for the Aramark enterprise. This role is responsible for driving connectivity, business alignment and category expertise in support of business goals and objectives across Aramark and Avendra Group clients.
 

Job Responsibilities

Manage and mentor the team to professionally source for services/goods that meet the business, and client needs at the lowest total cost of ownership. 
•    Ensure the consistent use of best practice procurement methodologies across all functional areas.
•    Identify and implement year over year productivity initiatives and minimize exposure to unforeseen price volatility.
•    Develop annual work plan.  Ensure plan will meet commitments to clients and that associates are fully utilized.  Plan should focus on initiative execution and client needs, while leaving an appropriate amount of time for projects and contract ownership tasks
o    Drive team to start and complete initiatives on time (unless a sub-optimal contract would result)
o    Manage team’s workload throughout the year, and effectively manage resources  
o    Maintain awareness of team’s initiatives’ status; update leadership on status on a regular basis and help team problem solve moving initiatives forward as appropriate.  
o    Ensure team is developing, and continuously improving, thoughtful supply chain strategies.
•    Provide expertise to all business partners including timely updates on market influences, trends, short and long-term outlook, and coverage recommendations.
•    Conduct business with understanding and adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws, particularly those relating to anti-trust and pricing.
•    Protect Aramark’s reputation through strict adherence to the highest ethical standards consistent with company policy.
•    Ensure adherence to all Global Supply Chain & Group Purchasing Organization (GSC&GPO) related processes and procedures.

Role Requirements
•    Superior organizational, change management and analytical skills.
•    Excellent knowledge of total cost/value creation approaches and supplier relationship management.
•    Ability to lead in a work environment that supports continuous improvement.
•    Ability to lead, coach and mentor a staff that will be leading others; effectively communicate direction to a large staff.
•    Ability to establish, measure, monitor and evaluate processes, policies and processes for sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contracting, supplier relationship and performance management on a global basis.
•    Ability to direct team on key analyses they need to perform; ability to interpret the analytical results into actionable steps.
•    Ability to build strong relationships at all levels within Avendra, and with Suppliers and Clients
 

Qualifications

Travel Requirements.  10-20%, domestic travel 
Preferred Experience: 
•    At least 10 years of continuous procurement leadership experience across corporate categories for large scale, matrixed organizations. 
•    BS/BA in relevant field, Master’s degree preferred 
•    A depth of experience working closely with department and functional leaders; including the ability to provide them with sourcing knowledge and expertise. 
•    Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a Procurement team.
•    A strong strategic sourcing mindset having directly identified, worked with, and led negotiations on major transactions with suppliers.
•    Developed best practice procurement methodologies and global sourcing strategies which directly improved productivity and lowered costs.  
•    Accomplished in leading and working within a matrix environment, built strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships.
