Position SummaryThis position of Continuous Improvement Intern will be an exciting part of the continuous improvement department. Continuous improvement is responsible for improving processes and efficiency, concentrated in manufacturing. The intern will be exposed to advanced lean principles across product sectors and will receive coaching and work with the operations leadership (at all levels) through the lean and six sigma implementation strategy, focused on delivering business results and building competency in CI methods. This position will report directly to the VP of Continuous Improvement.

General Purpose The Continuous improvement department will work with multiple groups in the operations and supply chain areas improve efficiency and implement improvement projects. Over time this will turn into implementation support that will include teaching, mentoring, and execution. This position is designed to be entry level up but could be a few years of experience. Crider will provide mentoring and training. Overall, the continuous improvement area will assist in developing a lean support team within the operational units to ensure that the strategy identifies business opportunities and delivers results. As such, the Continuous improvement area will be responsible to communicate the goals and objectives of the lean activities and to provide a system for measurement of results of lean and six sigma activities on an ongoing basis. | ||

Physical Demands and Work Environment · No specific or unusual physical work demands. Must be able to move in and about in the plant and environment in a safe manner. Must be committed to assuring product safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the plant operation.
