Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will manage the parts inventory, ensuring that we have the necessary components to complete repairs efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with a positive service experience
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document issues
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history
- Maintain a well-organized parts inventory and ensure accurate stock levels
- Keep track of parts used for each job and update inventory records accordingly
- Place orders for parts as needed, considering lead times and urgency of repairs
- Receive incoming parts shipments, verify accuracy, and update inventory system accordingly
Experience:
- Previous experience in sales, or customer service is preferred
- Strong cash handling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Day range:
- Monday to Friday
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to Relocate:
- Idaho Falls, ID 83401: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: In person
