What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Merchandiser position at Cromwell Growers?
Cromwell Growers is a wholesale annual plant grower that supplies plants to Home Depot’s in New England and NY as a vendor. We work with our partners at the Home Depot to keep neat and appealing garden centers fully stocked with Easter plants and pansies in the early spring, lots of annuals and Mother’s Day plants for our busiest part of the season, mums and pumpkins for the fall season, and poinsettias for the winter. We are looking for a plant merchandiser who can help out in 10-12 hours on weekends at the North Kingstown RI Home Depot garden center.
General Responsibilities include:
-Unwrapping and unloading plants off of carts on to tables according to a set plan
-Condensing and restocking product as it sells down
-Discarding subpart product
-Keeping plan carts neat and staged in an appropriate location
-Signing products to shout out prices to customers
-Communicating regularly with regional supervisor by sending in pictures of your finished work and reporting any store needs
-Ensuring a generally clean and organized garden center
-Assisting customers with questions about our plants
Plant merchandising is a physical job that would be best suited for someone who enjoys being active and outside.
This job runs each year from mid March-mid December. Looking for someone who can work mornings. Weekends are required. Please send resume.
