What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Clerk position at Cross Resource Group?
Job description:
Operate computer using particular software and database (familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word). Receive, issue and track incoming specimens ranging in different bulk sizes (2oz-55 gallons) and enter in database. Stock and organize inventory products ranging from 2 oz to 55 gallons. Receive and count stock items before signing-off on receivables. Prepare products for shipping in accordance with DOT/TCEQ regulations. Compile and maintain purchase orders, requisitions and other documents (emails, manifest) in order to assess levels and maintain database. Off-load fuel from trucks into storage and dispensing tanks. transfer fuels between tanks as requested and input data to a database. Prepare samples for disposal by marking, removing containers from racks and putting them in proper disposals area: crush containers after disposal of contents: prepare lubricants samples for storage: communication with co-workers, engineers and clients concerning lubricants and fuels status: use forklift and truck to move lubricants and fuels samples ranging in different bulk sizes. Comply with all EPA, DOT, OSHA and TCEQ regulations.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have HS Diploma or equivalent
- Must have computer operating skills with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word spreadsheets.
- General knowledge of warehouse inventory control systems
- Must be able to maintain a database spreadsheet with incoming & outgoing specimens
- Maintain and recognize adequate inventory levels
- Must be able to communicate and provide information to clients, project leaders and management regarding product levels, product receivables and product deliverables
- Must maintain a quality standard of service
- Ability to handle fuels and lubricants in accordance to government regulations and practices
- General knowledge of hazardous products and disposal practices
- Recognize of proper labeling: general knowledge of NFPA labels. Must have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to various tasks and assignments
- Must be able to handle and lift 50 lbs assisted
- MVR is required will be driving on company grounds
- Must have steel toed shoes
- PPE will be provided
Dress Code: Uniform will be provided
