About the Role
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience with crance mechanics. Candidates must be able to work outdoors and travel as needed. If you're a hard worker, love being outdoors, and enjoy a team atmosphere and camaraderie, this is the job for you! Drug screen, physical and criminal background check is required of successful candidates.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
Performs any combination of the following duties on construction projects, usually working in a utility capacity and by transferring from one task to another.
Crane Mechanic must be competent in the following:
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, graders and conveyors used in construction.
- Must be willing to travel in the NW Arkansas, Kansas City, or Oklahoma City area.
Someone with a crane/heavy-duty mechanical background, relevant experience working on machinery – no certifications necessary but a passion for mechanics is a must. Huge bonus if you’ve already worked with Tower Cranes, but previous experience not required.
- Know what LMI stands for and what its use is on a crane
- Welding or fabrication skills would be fantastic
- Need electrical knowledge, along with some hydraulics
- Great communication skills with the team and site colleagues
- A positive attitude, team spirit, and be able to work closely with our team
- An ability to be able to trouble-shoot equipment based on standard operating procedures and be able to understand technical manuals
- An ability to work overtime, sometimes critical jobs require our team to stick with it longer than usual. Must be willing to stay out from time to time from home during the work week
- Someone who can climb ladders, and from time-to-time comfortable working at heights up to 150 feet on tower cranes in all safe weather conditions
- Company service truck will be issued. Must have own tools. We provide specialty tools when they are needed
- A keen problem-solving ability to diagnose and trouble-shoot mechanical and electronic issues
- Attention to detail, someone who can record the repair story on work orders, noting problems or unusual situations encountered during repairs
- Someone who takes pride in their work, keeping their tools, equipment, and work area clean and functional
- For the right candidate, we’ll have options to put you through dealer level technical training on all our makes and model cranes.
