Job Description:

Location preferences – Oak Brook, IL; Chicago, IL; Grand Rapids, MI; Indianapolis, IN; South Bend, IN.

Crowe is seeking a talented Contract Specialist to join our Consulting Business Unit as part of our Enterprise Risk Management team. You will perform a range of duties including managing our contracting processes, advising Consulting practice leaders on efficient operation of the firm’s Contract Management System (ICertis), assisting in preparation of contracts, and managing contract templates.

The successful candidate should enjoy drafting and editing contracts and should demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Communication skills are critical, as this position will interact with Consulting practice leaders and the firm’s Legal department on a daily basis.

This position requires minimal travel

Responsibilities will include:

  • Interact with Legal and Consulting leaders within the firm to ensure timely and accurate contract preparation and problem resolution
  • Manage contracting processes within the ICertis Contract Management System
  • Serve as the primary contact for Contract Management System questions for the Consulting BU
  • Identify incorrect, inconsistent and incomplete data entries in the Contract Management System on a continuous basis and make timely modifications to improve the quality of data
  • Identify opportunities and provide insights to drive greater efficiencies in the Contract Management process
  • Track agreement expiration, identify contracts that need to be amended, and follow up to ensure amendments are executed timely
  • Assist in drafting contract templates for specific Consulting service lines that help the practice proactively manage risk
  • Manage and update contract templates as needed in coordination with Legal
  • Expedite the review and execution of contracts

Qualifications:

Educational and Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field
  • Background in contracting, legal terminology and contract review
  • Paralegal Certification is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the professional services industry is desired
  • Experience with ICertis or another Contract Management System is desired
