Tittle - Operations Supervisor
DESCRIPTION:
- Direct the work of operation support personnel, material handlers and inventory specialist; provide support in production when needed.
- Manage all inbound trailers or container.
- Serves as liaison to other team members, including interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management as well as training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance.
- Coordinate, communicate and expedite Priority Orders
- Monitor HOLD Area and ensure product is moving out in a timely manner.
- Review operating reports and directs the resolution of inbound product, quality, and inventory to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of inbound dock operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving inventory data for reports.
- Participates in special products and performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
- Evaluating and reporting on department metrics to upper management.
- Developing strategies to improve department metrics and performance.
- Recruiting quality employees to provide high-quality customer support.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrate attention to detail and possess problem solving skills.
- Able to meet all mandatory training for the posted position.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and all reporting software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Excellent customer service orientation
- An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills
- Able to sit, walk, and move around for long hours at a time.
- Must have a minimum of A.S. in Business Management or 4 years’ experience in production or warehouse logistics.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule as required including weekends.
