The Kind of Work You’ll be Doing:
Under general supervision of the Team Leader of Landscaping, the Landscaping Specialist performs general landscaping maintenance to maintain an attractive and appealing landscaped facility according to established standards. Position includes, but not limited to, mowing, trimming, planting, transplanting, irrigating, plants, trees, or shrubs, cutting and laying sod, and helping to keep the facility free of debris.
- Maintain the appearance of all of the flowering annuals, trees and hedges on property.
- Mow, trim and edge grounds; lay and cut sod as needed.
- Perform maintenance of facility by planting, transplanting, pruning, removal of trees, shrubs and grass.
- Move soil, equipment and materials. Dig holes and/or trenches as needed
- Report damage of plants or sprinkler systems to supervisor for necessary repairs
- Perform routine checks and trash cleanup of designated area(s).
- Prepare annuals for inclement weather by covering them or using alternate methods for preserving them.
- Demonstrate and model personal spiritual discipline and assist in development of an environment on the team where individual team members grow in their own Christian walks.
- Personal development - engage in the Staff Development process including creating and implementing a Personal Development Plan (PDP) targeting areas of growth.
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school.
At least two-years of experience in landscaping. Must possess sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed.
