Job Title : Help Desk Representative (3rd Shift)
Location : Remote (Local to Franklin, TN Area)
Type : Contract to Hire / Contract (W-2 or 1099)
Hourly Rate : $25 per hour
We are seeking a Help Desk Representative to provide IT support for small business clients during late-night hours. This is a part-time, contract position, with an opportunity for long-term hire.
The role is primarily remote, but candidates must be local to the Franklin, TN area for occasional in-office training and collaboration.
Position Overview : As a Help Desk Representative, you will be responsible for providing basic IT support, including password resets, troubleshooting network issues, and handling Microsoft 365-related tasks.
This role requires availability during weekday evenings and occasional weekend hours.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide remote help desk support, handling incoming support requests
- Assist with password resets and troubleshooting basic networking issues
- Support Microsoft 365 environments (e.g., email, OneDrive, Teams)
- Escalate more complex technical issues as needed
- Track and document customer issues in a ticketing system
- Collaborate with team members during training and problem resolution
Schedule :
- Monday to Friday : 5 : 00 p.m. to 10 : 00 p.m.
- Occasional Sunday work (approximately 6 hours)
Qualifications :
- Prior experience in a help desk or IT support role
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (email, Teams, OneDrive)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be local to Franklin, TN, or nearby for occasional office visits
Additional Information :
- This is a contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time hire.
- Compensation is based on approved hours each week and can be structured as W-2 or 1099.
