What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at CryoLife?
Establish and maintain Quality Systems that comply with regulations and standards. Inspect product/materials for proper quality, accuracy and specifications and provide support for Medical Device Operations and other internal departments as necessary. Ensure that all areas identified as "Principal Responsibilities" are accomplished in an efficient and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Will take responsibility and authority for ensuring Quality Control compliance throughout affected
- Inspect product/materials for proper specifications, quality, labeling, and
- Provide support for Medical Device Operations and other internal departments as
- Print the in house finished medical device labeling and peer review for
- Maintain knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices, including the use of ANZI sampling AQL plans.
- Understand the flow of processes and procedures to be observant with an ability to identify
- Monitor material in quarantine to ensure they are appropriately identified and dispositions are completed in a timely
- Provide input to Management for cause-identification for various types of quality or production investigations.
- Interface with other department personnel to clarify and/or correct the information provided, and to solicit required
- Must be alert to interact with technicians and management in a tactful but expeditious manner in order to correct problems concurrent with the
- Effectively complete "other" functions that may be assigned by
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in the Life Sciences or other scientific field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1-year experience in Quality is preferred.
- Previous experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
