We are accepting applications for our Technical Services Technician. This position will be interacting directly with customers providing urgent response in support of Crystal Group’s entire product line. This position supports efforts which include product diagnosis and repair, phone/email interaction, root cause failure analysis, and travel to customers’ locations. Duties: Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Determines root cause on any customer complaints and works with vendors to determine root cause of their component(s) failure. Project assignments will require keeping detailed documentation of all testing and associated procedures and some written reports. This individual will assist in the support and improve methods, procedures and processes used in the lab by technical staff. Requires: Education: High School or GED. Associate degree in related field preferred. Candidate with several classes completed may be considered if experienced in this area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Experience: Six months to three years of experience in the field or in a related area. Physical: Must be able to lift and carry computer servers of various sizes and weights. Miscellaneous: Job can require moderate to extensive travel when needed to support customers.
