JOB SUMMARY
- The banquet set up crew will help to direct and execute the set up and preparation of banquet venues for banquet functions, as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Set up facilities for events including tables, chairs, linens, dishware, glassware, silverware, and other amenities according to banquet event order (BEO) requirements and Banquet Manager's direction.
- Clean equipment and serving utensils, as well as maintaining clean tables and banquet areas.
- Clean venues following events.
- Stock and store supplies & prepare backups as appropriate.
- Establish and execute pre-function side work to be performed and make sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition, notifying Banquet Manager of any issues.
- Assist in breaking down tables, chairs, and staging after events.
- Manage and process linens for laundering.
- Attend all staff meetings as required by management.
- Protects the organization, the members and the guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies; including but not limited to Washington State Health and Liquor Department regulations.
- Develop and maintain an organizational culture, values and reputation with staff, and customers. Ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
- Act as a representative of Crystal Mountain with guests & community members.
- Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold a valid Washington Food Worker Card (Health & Food Safety)
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in Food and Beverage, preferably catering
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Able to manipulate a full-size keg of beer (~160 pounds)
- Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
