What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Crystal Run Village, Inc.?
As part of the Human Resources team, the Assistant Recruiter is responsible for supporting the staffing and talent acquisition efforts for the agency to build a strong, value based workforce that adds to our success. You will make important assessments based on information gathered from contact with candidates, hiring managers, and background check results. The Human Resource Assistant will take the lead on all aspects of the pre-hire through New Staff Onboarding process including conducting background and reference checks and processing paperwork They will be responsible to completing timely and accurate data entry into the HRIS system for payroll processing and tracking, maintain employee files, process transactions for existing employees and service as a point of contact for the HR department.
A successful candidate will have human resource knowledge, a good understanding of CRVI programs, and our staffing needs, excellent interpersonal communication, superior organizational skills, and technology skills in a high volume environment.
You will interact, daily, with potential candidates and communicate our message and mission, “New Directions…New Lives”. You will build effective relationships with hiring supervisors and staff across the agency. In addition, you will represent the agency at job fairs and participate in social media.
Qualifications
- 1-2 year related experience
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and judgement to handle sensitive employment issues.
- Ability to effectively advocate ideas and influence internal and external audiences.
- Advanced Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work under pressure while multi-tasking to meet the needs of a not-for-profit Human Service Agency a must
Education:
BA degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
SHRM Certification a plus
