Cornerstone Staffing Solutions, Inc. is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to work for our manufacturing client in Fenton, MI. This position is looking for someone with experience with structural steel and/or conveyor system experience.

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity. Pay will be based on experience, $70K - $100K, with the opportunity for commission earnings.

The Sales Representative will work with the sales and estimating team to support and aid growth and development of the business. Requires a motivated, highly autonomous self-starter, with great attention to detail, who can grow current book of business but more importantly cultivate new accounts.

Job Duties:

· Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities.

· Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.

· Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.

· Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service offerings; introducing new products and services. Exhibit strong skills around business acumen, relationship-building, organization/attention to detail and problem solving.

· Support sales forecasting activities while “mining” for new opportunities in our core area of focus.

· Monitor and evaluate the activities, products, and services of the competition.

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

· Achieve sales goals as determined by management team.

· Initiate, develop and maintain in-depth relationships with the Company’s customers to ensure renewals and cooperation.

Skills & Abilities:

· Be able to thrive in a face-paced environment and manage many customers and challenges at one time

· Knowledge of contracts, negotiating, and proposal development and an eagerness to learn.

· Expertise in pricing structural steel work

· Excellent relationships with major national and regional contractors and erection subcontractors

· Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently.

· Must have good people skills and an appreciation for relationship selling.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and knowledge of computer-based CRM tools.

· Must be comfortable with cold calling both via the telephone and face to face.

· Must have professional written, verbal and presentation skills and willingness to engage with a diverse customer base.

· Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Must have the ability to motivate and produce quality presentation material and sales collateral within tight timeframes.

· Knowledge of the structural steel, conveyance, manufacturing, and construction industries. Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications is required.

· Must be comfortable with public speaking at associations, trade meetings, and corporate engagements along with being highly self- motivated.

· Travel within the Metro Detroit area is expected 75% of time. Additional domestic travel (out of state) is anticipated less than 20% of the time.

Education & Required Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university. Equivalent experience considered.

At least three (3) years outside sales experience in a manufacturing or construction related industry. Structural Steel and/or Conveyance experience preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
